WHAT MAKES A TAROT CONSULTATION SUCCESSFUL?
There seem to be 3 areas that go into making a reading successful: 1. The querent and the cartomancer need to have a good rapport. 2. The querent needs to have a desire to gain insight into their life: to have a 'question', 3. The querent should have faith in the oracle, they should believe that the Tarot will be able to give them insight into their life. Curiosity in itself does not always provide for a good reading from my experience, I would advise you to question your motives before going ahead with a Tarot reading and take a bit of time thinking about what you hope to learn through a Tarot experience.
WHAT EXACTLY IS A TAROT READING?

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards: 40 'suited' cards consisting of Pentacles, Cups, Swords and Wands- these denote areas of your life. There are also 16 'Court Cards' that represent people or moods and 22 'Trump Cards' that represent archetypes or archetypal situations. The cards are layed out in a 'spread', each position in that spread will give an insight into a particular part of your life. Cups for example may give an indication of your emotional life whereas Pentacles may give guidance around your finance. There will be positions on a spread indicating issues from the past or hopes about the future. A cartomancer will then create a narrative around the way the cards have been layed out with the help of the querent. During this process intuitions will normally arise giving helpful prompts and the querent as well as the cartomancer will build on those through dialogue: normally a clear picture will unfold around what can be expected in the future and guidance can be gained about which direction to take in life
WHY DO YOU CHARGE MONEY FOR THIS?
'Cross my hand with silver': the reading must be a transactional experience for both of us. We should both walk away enriched. You will have gained a deeper understanding about your life-path and which direction to take and I will have also gained new knowledge and fortified my skills as a cartomancer. Every reading that I give will be a learning experience for me as well and the effort invested in giving a reading needs to be remunerated. The money that you bring to the oracle will mean that you value the experience and refer back to it for guidance.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A TAROT READING UNCOVERS SOMETHING 'NEGATIVE'?
The whole purpose of the oracle is to probe hidden areas of your life. The Tarot will show you strengths and areas of success as well as uncovering challenges that you will then be able to step up to and resolve. The cards will help you to come up with a strategy with which to make a success of your life.
